Shipping rates in Shopify checkout
The app can show Freightseeker rates at checkout through Shopify carrier-calculated shipping (Freightseeker Basic Rates). Customers see the rates only after Freightseeker has enabled checkout for your store - you can prepare everything in the app before that.
Step by step
- Open Checkout extension in the app, turn the integration on, and save.
- In Shopify: go to Settings - Shipping and delivery and add a carrier-calculated rate with Freightseeker Basic Rates in the right shipping zone.
- Choose basic mode (one rate, often the cheapest) or advanced mode (multiple options). Extra add-ons at checkout need Shopify Plus and the Freightseeker Advanced Checkout block under Settings - Checkout - Customize.
- Under Prices: use the live Freightseeker price, round up to x9, or set a fixed base price per shipping product. Add-ons are added on top of the base.
- Under Package: choose where dimensions and weight come from (product fields, Shopify, or app defaults). Test with the preview before you go live.
Good to know
- Some Shopify plans do not include carrier-calculated rates. Orders and Admin booking still work - but rates will not show at checkout.
- Seeing add-ons in the app preview does not mean the block is in the real checkout. Add it once per store.
